Cubs Paediatric Dietetics Course Disclaimer
REVISED JUNE 2026
1. Who We Are
Cubs Paediatric Dietetics ABN 12 662 207 614 ("Cubs", "we", "us") is operated by Kate Annat, an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) registered with Dietitians Australia and bound by the professional and ethical standards of that registration, including the Dietitians Australia Code of Conduct and the AHPRA Code of Conduct for Registered Health Practitioners.
2. Educational Purpose — Not Personal Advice
The content within this course, including videos, written materials, downloadable resources, and any accompanying communications, is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
It does not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, personalised medical, dietetic, or health advice. No practitioner–patient or practitioner–client relationship is created by purchasing or accessing this course.
Every child is unique. The information presented may not be appropriate for your child's individual health circumstances, medical history, or current presentation.
Before making any changes to your child's diet, formula, or allergy management plan, please consult your GP, paediatrician, or an Accredited Practising Dietitian. This applies whether your child's CMPA is confirmed or suspected.
If you are breastfeeding and following this elimination diet, please also seek guidance about your own calcium and nutritional needs during the elimination period.
3. See a Doctor First — Elimination Diet & Suspected CMPA
The elimination diet protocol within this course is an educational guide. It is not a substitute for an individual assessment by a qualified health professional.
If your child's CMPA has not yet been confirmed by a doctor or dietitian (i.e., if you suspect CMPA but have not had a formal assessment) please obtain a medical review before commencing the elimination protocol in this course. CMPA-like symptoms can have other causes, and an unsupervised elimination diet in an unconfirmed case carries a risk of delayed or missed diagnosis.
4. Medical Clearance Before Dairy Reintroduction (Milk Ladder)
Module 8 of this course covers dairy reintroduction using a milk ladder protocol. This content is educational only. Clinical guidelines recommend that dairy reintroduction in children with CMPA be supervised by a qualified health professional.
Before commencing any dairy reintroduction, please seek individual guidance from your GP, paediatrician, or an Accredited Practising Dietitian. If you are uncertain whether your child has non-IgE or IgE-mediated allergy, do not attempt reintroduction at home — see your GP or an allergy specialist first.
5. This Course Does Not Cover IgE-Mediated (Anaphylactic) Allergy
This course specifically addresses non-IgE-mediated Cow's Milk Protein Allergy. It is not designed for, and does not cover, the management of IgE-mediated (immediate-onset) allergic reactions.
Call 000 immediately if your child experiences:
- Difficulty breathing, wheezing, or a hoarse voice
- Swelling of the lips, tongue, face, or throat
- Sudden hives or a widespread skin reaction
- Collapse, loss of consciousness, or a pale, floppy appearance
- Sudden vomiting followed by extreme lethargy (possible FPIES — seek emergency care)
If you are unsure whether your child has IgE or non-IgE CMPA, stop any elimination or reintroduction process and consult your GP or a paediatrician before proceeding.
If your child's symptoms do not improve within [2-4 weeks] of commencing the elimination diet, or if symptoms appear to be worsening at any point, stop the protocol and consult your GP or paediatrician before continuing.
6. Professional Standards & No Guaranteed Outcomes
Cubs Paediatric Dietetics operates in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Registered Health Practitioners (AHPRA) and the professional standards of Dietitians Australia. In keeping with those standards:
