Mentorship

On my path to becoming a paediatric dietitian, I had the privilege of being mentored. I found the experience invaluable and helped eased much of the stress I was feeling. I’m eager to offer the same support to others. If you’re trying to navigate a path to being a dietitian or already a dietitian and need assistance with specific feeding cases, I invite you to reach out. Let's talk about how my mentoring program can help you.

Who is mentoring for?

Therapists, new graduates, students or anyone interested in a career as a paediatric dietitian.

Can mentorship include discussing patient cases?

Yes I’m available to discuss your assessment of paediatric cases. We can run through a paediatric assessment. I can help with planning your therapy sessions. We can discuss which foods are best for your patient's situation. Whatever help you need, I have years of case experience to draw upon.

What are my clinical areas of expertise?

I have experience across the following case types:

  • Infant feeding
  • Allergy (IgE and Non IgE)
  • Gastroenterology (IBD - Crohn's/ UC, Coeliac's, Exclusion Diets, Short bowel syndrome)
  • Tube Feeding and Blended diet
  • Feeding therapy and selective eating

So if you want to discuss clients types where these skillsets arise then we can discuss this. On the other hand I can also do up-skilling sessions with you on these case types to prepare you for future clients.

How else I can help outside of clinical practice of dietetics?

My expertise extends beyond only dietetics; I also possess a thorough knowledge of the dietitian profession. If you have questions or topics you'd like to explore with someone experienced, I'm here as a resource for you. Maybe you have these kinds of questions.

  • Should I work in a hospital or set up my own practice?
  • Should I specialise in particular services or conditions?
  • I need career advice and I don’t know who to ask.
  • The workload is heavy and I need strategies to help me manage the load.
  • I don’t know anyone else in the field and I feel isolated.
  • I’ve just graduated and I don’t know what to do next.

How much does it cost for the mentorship?

I charge the same amount as my dietitian fees - $190/hr. You’ll be working directly with me, learning from my many years of clinical practice and studies. Maybe you only need one hour to discuss a particular case. That’s ok. Or we can work together over a longer period of time. Whatever help you need, I’m there as your mentor.
